＝ sometimes : たまに（副詞）
think of 「～のことを考える」
じゃあ「何について考えてるの？」→ "When we were together" 「わたしたちがまだ一緒だった時のこと」
つまり、 think of の目的語（～を）⇒ when we were together という図式。

つまり、「so＋形容詞」あとに、「主語＋動詞」が続いていた場合は・・・
「so ~ that S V 構文」だなと認識すると良いでしょう。

tell oneself that...：自分自身に ...だと言い聞かせる
right : ぴったり、正しい（形容詞）
were : ～だった（ be 動詞の過去形。主語が複数形のときに使います）

タイムラインで表すと・・・

still : まだ、でも（副詞）
